(Ripley County, IN) – The Southern Indiana Truck Convoy has donated $30,000 to Make-A-Wish.

A check presentation took place at Make-A-Wish regional headquarters in Cincinnati on Tuesday.

The funds were raised during the fifth annual Southern Indiana Truck Convoy earlier this month in Ripley County.

The trucks pulled out of the Ripley County Fairgrounds and the convoy wound its way through Delaware, Milan, Elrod, Versailles and back to Osgood.

The convoy event has raised $150,000 for Make-A-Wish over the past five years.

“All this could not have happened without the fabulous support we receive from the trucking industry and business community,” the Southern Indiana Truck Convoy wrote in a statement. “From the bottom of our hearts thank you for your continued support.”

Make-A-Wish is a nonprofit organization that helps fulfill the wishes of seriously ill children.

It’s headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, and operates through its 58 chapters located all over the United States.
