Troopers make major pot haul on I-74 in Dearborn County

Dearborn County, In. — Indiana State Troopers confiscated a large amount of marijuana during a Wednesday afternoon traffic stop and arrested a Colorado man.

Troopers stopped a car driven by Michael Granados, 23, of Denver, for a traffic violation on I-74 in Dearborn County at 3:22 p.m. After noting criminal indicators the trooper deployed his canine Jinx to conduct a free air sniff. After a positive indication a search of vehicle uncovered several packages of marijuana totaling 33 pounds.

Granados was charged with dealing in over 10 pounds of mariju

ana and possession of marijuana over 10 pounds. He is awaiting a court appearance in the Dearborn County Jail.
