At Saturday’s individual girls regional tennis tournament in Fishers, East Central’s Heidi Kane won her semifinal match with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Carlie Streit of Southport. Kane later fell in the regional championship 6-0, 6-2 to last year’s individual state runner-up, Lauren Long of Park Tudor.
Kane, who amassed a 28-1 record this season, has been named to the South Team for the ICGSA North-South Senior All-Star Tennis Cup. Matches will be played at Community Sports and Wellness in Pendleton on Sunday, June 12th.
