Trojan AD And Former Head Coach Don Stonefield Named EC Interim Head Football Coach

The Sunman-Dearborn Community School Corporation is pleased to announce Mr. Don
Stonefield as the Interim East Central High School Football Head Coach. Coach Stonefield will use his extensive coaching experience, along with an excellent coaching staff, to lead the 2018 Class 4A defending state champs into the 2018 season.

Coach Stonefield is no stranger to East Central Trojan fans. He was the Head Coach from
2003 – 2010 where he compiled an overall record of 76-21 including four sectional
championships and one regional championship. In 2003, he led the East Central Trojans to the final four.

“It is an honor and privilege to step back into the East Central football program and help lead a great group of talented young men and coaches. I look forward to helping advance the football program and representing this great community and school during this time of transition,” Don Stonefield, Interim East Central High School Football Head Coach.

According to Dr. Andrew Jackson, Superintendent, “Coach Stonefield is a dedicated and
successful Athletic Director. Our athletic program has excelled under his leadership. I appreciate his willingness to step in as an interim to provide consistency and stability in this year of transition. He is a Trojan and a winner.”

The Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the East Central High School Library to officially approve Coach Stonefield as the Interim Head Coach.

East Central starts their 2018 season August 17th when they host Lawrenceburg.
