(Greensburg, IN) – We now know who the Republican candidates for three at-large Greensburg City Council seats will be in the November General Election.
Retired bank executive Daryl Tressler was the top vote-getter in Tuesday’s municipal primary with 449 votes, followed by Mark Carman with 448 and current District 2 councilwoman Vietta McKenzie with 392. Jason Dwenger finished with 320.
623 people out of 7,178 registered voters in the City of Greensburg cast ballots Tuesday, which translates to an 8.68% voter turnout.
Mayor Joshua Marsh, Clerk-Treasurer Amy Borns, District 1 Councilman Kevin Fleetwood, District 2 candidate and current Board of Works member Dr. Rodney King, District 3 Councilman Jamie Cain, and District 4 Councilman Darrell Poling – all Republicans – were unopposed in the primary.
No Democrats have filed to run for Mayor, Clerk-Treasurer or City Council in the November election but the party has until this summer to find candidates.
