(Statewide) – Parts of Indiana were rocked by nasty weather Thursday.

The hardest hit area was Randolph County, where the swift moving storm system damaged dozens of homes and injured multiple people Thursday night.

Winchester High School is being used as a temporary shelter.

Indiana Task Force One has been deployed to the area to help with recovery efforts.

Randolph and Jefferson County residents are asked to contact Indiana 211 to report storm damage.

To help establish a comprehensive assessment of damage, residents can call 211 or visit the Indiana 211 website.

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security says collecting assessments via this process will help the agency determine damage estimates and develop the next course of action in the disaster recovery process.

Agricultural damage should be reported to Purdue Extension.
