TJ Friedl knocks in 3 runs as Reds beat Rockies to earn 10th consecutive win

The Cincinnati Reds survived a late surge to win their 10th straight game, defeating the Colorado Rockies 8-6 at Great American Ball Park on Tuesday.

Heading into the top of the 8th, the Reds held an 8-2 advantage over the Rockies. Colorado would cut the deficit to 3 in the top of the inning on a Jorge Alfaro three-run blast. Nolan Jones would make it an 8-6 game on an RBI double before the Reds reliever closed things out to secure the win and earn his 20th save of the season.

Offensively, the Reds were led by leadoff man TJ Friedl, who went 4-5 with a home run and 3 RBI. Elly De La Cruz and Will Benson also homered for Cincinnati.

With the win, the Reds have tied their longest win streak since 2012, when they also won 10 straight.
