Timothy B. Phillips, 65, of Versailles passed away at 7:40 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born in Rockford, Illinois on March 24, 1959, the son of Clifford and Hazel Patton Phillips. Survivors include three daughters Kathryn Seger of Versailles, Nicole Phillips of Monticello, Wisconsin, and Margaret Young of Janesville, Wisconsin; four grandchildren Timothy Jenkins and Caitlyn Hurkmans of Versailles, and Troy and Zachary Hurkmans of Janesville; one sister Kristina (Keith) Meinert of Versailles; his cousin and best friend Larry Phillips. Mr. Phillips graduated from Harlem High School in Machesney Park, Illinois and received his Associates Degree in Administration from Black Hawk Junior College. He was employed with Grainger where he worked as an administrative assistant, still working as late as the Thursday before he passed. Tim was a Pilgrim in the Moose Lodge of Janesville. He was known as a very kind and giving person and enjoyed bowling as long as his health permitted. Tim overcame many physical barriers in his life with sheer determination. Tim’s wishes were to be cremated and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials for Tim can be given to the donor’s choice in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
