Time to Fall Back; DST Ends Sunday

(Southeastern IN) – This is the weekend that we “fall back.”

Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday.

There has been discussion that Congress would decide whether or not to eliminate Daylight Saving Time.

Nineteen states are awaiting a decision from Congress to stop the time change.

Indiana is not on that list.

You’re urged to set manual clocks and other time-keeping devices back one hour before going to bed tomorrow night.

The end of Daylight-Saving Time is also seen as a cue to prepare a winter emergency kit for your automobile, change your smoke detector batteries and to see if your fire extinguishers need recharging.

The time change also means more daylight in the morning and an extra hour of darkness in the evening.

We’ll reset our clocks again and “spring forward” when Daylight Saving Time returns on Sunday, March 14, 2027.
