The St. Louis Lady Cardinals 7th Grade team lost in 2 sets against The Greendale Lady Bengals.  Scores were 25-6 and 25-15.   Scoring for SLS was Ella King with 3pts, Campbell Miles, and Gina Grote both bringing 2 pts, and Ava Hollins with 1 pt.  Keep in mind this team without practice had 3 new players to fill in missing spots.  Game 1 we were getting used to one another and game two we found some flow and were able to stick with them in some serving spurts.  Overall a nice job by all who played this match.

The 8th Grade match up went down in 2 as well.  Scores were 25-18 and 25-8.  Scoring for SLS were Rachel Suttmann with 3pts 1 ace, Lucy Abplanalp and Meg Ritter both bringing 2pts, and Sophia Hohenstein with 1 ace for the point.  Game 1 we played very well as a whole, we moved well and communicated for some great plays.  Keeping the Tigers out of system most of the game to shut down hitting.  Game 2 they caught on and we fell to some great service by the Tigers having us fall short.  These girls also had to play without some players and that makes it tough to find your flow in a new on the spot rotation.
Nice job ladies.

‘We are struggling to bring consistent energy to the court which is causing us to play flat. We played just good enough to get the win. Hopefully we can pull it together Saturday at Zionsville!’ Trojans Coach Cassie Laker.
