Three suffer minor injuries in Franklin County head-on collision

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle, head-on collision on the 12,000 block of State Road 121 in western Franklin County Saturday evening.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old Brandi Bryant of Connersville lost control of her southbound SUV on an ice-covered bridge, went left of center, and collided head-on with a northbound car driven by 52-year-old Christina Perrson, who is also from Connersville.

Persson told deputies she saw the oncoming vehicle and attempted to stop but was unable to avoid the collision.

Bryant was taken to Reid Health in Connersville while Persson and a passenger in her car were transported to Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.

All three were treated for minor injuries.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Laurel and Metamora volunteer fire departments, and Franklin County EMS #2 and #3.
