Three injured in Rush County motorcycle crash

Rushville, In. — Three motorcyclists were injured in a four-vehicle crash over the weekend according to Indiana State police.

Around 12:30 p.m. police responded to the State Road 44 and County Road 125 W in Rush County on a report of a rear end collision.

A car driven by Bonnie Moor, 59, of Rushville, was stopped making a left turn onto County Road 1258 W when she was struck from behind by a pickup truck driven by Adelle Nuxoll, 17, of Holton. The impact pushed the bed of the truck into the path of two motorcycles on State Road 44.

A motorcycle driven by Clayton Brown, 42, of Fairland, hit the truck bed. Brown and his passenger, Julie McKee, 45, were ejected from the motorcycle. Another motorcycle driven by James Armstrong, 50, of Indianapolis, skidded into a ditch.

Julie McKee was flown by medical helicopter to St. Vincent’s in Indianapolis with a head injury and other non-life threatening injuries. Clayton Brown was transported to St Vincent’s in Indianapolis by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. None of the injured motorcyclists were wearing helmets.

The drivers of the passenger cars were uninjured. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
