Three injured in Monday Franklin County crash

Franklin County, In. — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department says two people and a four-year-old girl were hurt in a Monday evening crash on U.S. 52 near West Roberts Road.

Investigators say at 8:40 p.m. Chelsea Hudek, 25, of Punta Gorda, Florida, fell asleep at the wheel while westbound on U.S. 52 near West Roberts Road. Hudek drove off the side of the roadway and hit a utility pole, then a road sign.

Hudek and a passenger, Patrick Wills, 47, were  treated for minor injuries. Hudek’s four-year-old daughter was flown to Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati. Her condition is not available.

The accident remains under investigation.
