(Southeastern IN) – Thousands of Southeastern Indiana residents were without power early Wednesday following Tuesday’s storms.
Southeastern Indiana REMC was reporting 97 outages impacting co-op members in Ripley, Dearborn, Jennings, Jefferson and Switzerland counties.
Duke Energy Indiana’s outage map was indicating more than 16,000 customers were in the dark. Areas affected by outages included St. Leon, Bright, Guilford, Delaware and Pierceville, among others.
A check with Decatur County REMC showed all members were back on line as of Wednesday morning.
It is not known when power will be restored to those affected.
