Thomas “Tom” Voss, 78, Milan

         Thomas “Tom” Voss, 78, of Milan passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tom was born on Monday, April 19, 1943 in Milan; son of Estal and Elsie (McIntosh) Voss. Tom married the love of his life, Sue (Webber) Voss on June 25, 1966. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 6 ½ years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milan for 65 years. Tom drove for the Aurora Casket Company for 25 years. He was also a member of multiple organizations including but not limited to the Milan Volunteer Fire Department, Milan Masonic F & AM Lodge #31 for 50 years, Milan American Legion Post #235, and a 32nd degree Shriner. He enjoyed golfing, mowing his yard, detailing his cars, and he was an avid IU basketball fan. Tom’s greatest passion in life was spending time with his family.

Tom will be missed by his wife, Sue of Milan; son Robert “Bob” (Shannon) Voss of Alexandria, Kentucky; daughters Hollee Lewis of Farmington, Minnesota, and Tina (Jim) Hansen of Indianapolis; brother Bill (Verna) Voss of Santa Claus, Indiana; sister Judy (Darrell) Campbell of Florence, Alabama; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Estal and Elsie, brother Robert “Eugene” Voss, and son Thomas Scott Voss.

Family and friends may gather in remembering Tom from 10:00am – 12:45pm, Friday, January 7, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, 112 S Main Street, Milan, IN 47031. A masonic service will be held at 12:45pm provided by the Osgood/Milan Masonic Lodge F & AM #603. A service will immediately follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Burial will take place in New Craven Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Milan American Legion Post #235.
