A graduate of Diamond Oaks in North College Hill, Tom committed himself to his work with steadfast determination. He served as a Job Supervisor at Valley Interior Systems, where his leadership and expertise were highly respected by colleagues. His professional journey was distinguished by his membership in the Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters of Southwest Ohio (CMRCC), a testament to his skill and dedication in the field.
Beyond his work, Tom found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to work hard but also treasured his time outdoors—engaging in fishing, camping, and spending rejuvenating moments by the water. His affiliation with the North Bend Boat Club was a source of pride and enjoyment. Most importantly, Tom deeply valued family time, especially the moments spent at Williamstown Lake with his loved ones, where laughter and togetherness created lasting memories.
Tom’s family was central to his heart. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Amy Kessen (nee Williams), who stood by his side through life’s many chapters. Together, they raised two wonderful children: Ashley (Rustin) Tucker and Josh (Amanda Grimm) Kessen. The legacy of his love extends to his grandchildren, Levi, Archer, Callie, and Nick, who brought immense joy to his life. Tom’s family circle also includes his brothers, Robert “Bob” Thomas (Jill) Kessen, Jr., and Mike Kessen, and his sister, Tina Aloisio (Dan), along with his step-mother, Elaine Kessen, all of whom held him in great affection.
Tom’s parents, Robert Thomas and Sharon Kessen, Sr., preceded him in death, leaving behind a son whose life was rich with love and accomplishment.
A visitation to honor Tom’s memory will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM when a Celebration of Life will begin, with Chris Kessen officiating, providing family and friends an opportunity to gather, and share stories. All will be held at the Jackman Hensley Funeral Home located at 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030.
Tom will be remembered as a man who worked with his hands and loved with his whole heart, whose spirit touched the lives of those around him and whose memory will continue to inspire all who knew him. His legacy endures in the family he cherished and the community he served so loyally.
