Thelma Louise Zandstra, 91

Thelma Louise Zandstra, 91, of Greensburg passed away on September 16, 2024. She was born on June 3, 1933 Manton, Michigan the daughter of Egbert and Cena Bolt Sprik. Thelma was a 1951 graduate of Coopersville High School and a 1955 graduate of Calvin College. She was a grade school teacher, and taught music lessons for piano and flute. Thelma took pride in being a teacher and loved her students. She married John Zandstra on July 19, 1961 and together they had four children: Randall John, Douglas Scott, Lisa Rae and Hans David. Thelma was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: children, Lisa (Milo) Tichenor of Westport, Randall Zandstra of Colorado, Douglas (Lisa) Zandstra of Michigan and Hans (Teresa) Zandstra of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Lila Vonk, Marion Demos, Rev. Hubert Sprik, Calvin Sprik, Ernest Sprik, Cecile Hoeksema, Dale Sprik and Rev. Ronald Sprik.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the First Baptist Church at 3:30 pm. Pastor Cliff Bunch will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church. Share your fondest memory or condolence at www.Gilliland-Howe.com.
