Terre Haute, IN — A 30-year veteran of the Terre Haute Police Department was killed in an ambush Wednesday afternoon.
Detective Greg Ferency was shot outside the Terre Haute office of the Indianapolis FBI and later died at a local hospital.
The 53-year-old Ferency was assigned to the FBI Task Force on behalf of the Terre Haute Police Department.
A suspect who was wounded drove himself to the hospital, where he was arrested after undergoing surgery.
