Temporary Nighttime Lane Closures Planned on I-74 in Decatur County

(Decatur County, IN) – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Midwestern Electric, LLC. plans to conduct temporary lane closures on I-74 near Greensburg beginning on or after Monday, August 26, to complete guardrail installation work in Decatur County.

Work is expected to take up to one night, weather permitting.

The lane closures are currently scheduled as follows:

  • Monday, August 26 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. (weather permitting): The right lane of eastbound I-74 will close approximately four miles west of State Road 3 at mile marker 130.4 in Decatur County.
  • Tuesday, August 27 from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. (weather permitting): The right lane of westbound I-74 will close approximately four miles east of State Road 3 at mile marker 138.1 in Decatur County.

INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near work zones.

All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
