BATESVILLE, Ind. — An accident south of Batesville hospitalized a teenager late last week.
According to the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred on State Road 229 near County Road 1400 North.
Police say a 17-year-old overcorrected into oncoming traffic after his vehicle left the roadway.
Clint Bohman, 37, was traveling in the opposite direction and saw the teen’s vehicle lose control, but was unable to avoid the crash.
The teen was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati hospital with a head injury.
Bohman was uninjured.
