TCP Unveils Ambitious Season

Community Theater

The Greensburg-based community theater group is rolling out an eight-show lineup stretching from late summer 2026 through summer 2027.

(Greensburg, IN) — Tree County Players is pulling back the curtain on what may be its most ambitious season yet.

The Decatur County community theater group has officially announced its 2026-2027 season, a packed eight-show schedule that runs from an improv comedy night this August all the way through a youth theater camp performance next July. The season spans nearly a full calendar year and touches just about every corner of live theater — comedy, drama, musical theater, student showcases, and a beloved community variety show.

“Follow TCP on Facebook or visit our website for show updates and tickets,” the group says, pointing fans to

The 2026-2027 Lineup

What’s On Stage

August 29 • 7:00 p.m.

Scriptless in Seattle

The season kicks off with Scriptless in Seattle, billed as “America’s Musical Improv Comedy.” Fans of the long-running TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? will feel right at home — the show promises hilarious sketches, improvised musicals, game shows, and film noir, with no two performances ever the same. Audience members are even invited on stage to help steer the action.

October 23-25 • 7:00 p.m.

Clue

In October, TCP stages Clue, directed by Jenny Beeler. Based on the cult-classic film and the beloved board game, the madcap murder-mystery comedy drops audience members into Boddy Manor for a dark and stormy dinner party gone very, very wrong. Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard are all in attendance — and someone among them is a killer.

November 6-7 • 7:00 p.m.

Front & Center Players Variety Show

November 6 and 7 bring the Front & Center Players Variety Show, presented by The ARC of Decatur County’s theater troupe. It’s always one of the most heartwarming evenings on the TCP calendar.

February 5-7, 2027

Five Women Wearing the Same Dress

The new year opens with Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, running February 5-7, 2027, with evening performances at 7:00 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. Directed by Rocky Miano and produced by Brady Domingo, the sharp-tongued comedy follows five mismatched bridesmaids who escape a lavish 1990s Knoxville wedding reception to the upstairs bedroom — and end up discovering far more about each other, and themselves, than any of them expected.

April 8-10, 2027 • 7:00 p.m.

The Women of Lockerbie

Spring brings one of the season’s most emotionally powerful offerings: The Women of Lockerbie, directed by Dennis Fogle and produced by Karen Matthews. The poetic drama — loosely inspired by the 1988 Pan Am 103 disaster and written in the structure of a Greek tragedy — follows a grieving New Jersey mother and the women of Lockerbie, Scotland, who fight to reclaim victims’ belongings and transform an act of hatred into an act of love.

April 18, 2027 • 7:00 p.m.

Feldman Music Studio Student Showcase

On April 18, 2027, the Feldman Music Studio Student Showcase takes the stage, giving local young musicians a chance to demonstrate the results of a year’s hard work in front of family, friends, and peers.

June 11-13, 2027 • 7:00 p.m.

Sister Act JR.

Summer heats up with Sister Act JR., directed by Morgan Straber and produced by Amanda Gault. The kid-friendly musical — based on the hit film — follows disco diva Deloris Van Cartier as she hides from a murderer in a convent, disguised as a nun, and ends up transforming the choir and the community with her irrepressible spirit.

July 21-23, 2027

Youth Theater Camp

The season closes with Youth Theater Camp performances, also directed by Straber. The camp gives young participants an immersive introduction to acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft.
