Early runs by Switz Co. doom South Ripley in 10-run loss

South Ripley varsity softball had no answer for Switzerland County’s early scoring surge in their 11-1 loss on Wednesday.

The Pacers scored all 11 runs over the first three innings of play (2 in the first, 4 in the second, and 5 in the third).

The Raiders managed just two hits in the game, with their hits coming from Anna Block and Morgan Meyer. South Ripley got their lone run in the game in the top of the fifth inning.

Brooklyn Brown took the loss on the mound for the Raiders, allowing 10 earned runs on 5 hits and 6 walks in 4 innings of work.
