Greensburg, IN — Wednesday, Greensburg Police Department was dispatched to North Lincoln Street in reference to suspicious activity by a male around the businesses in the area. When the officer arrived in the area and he located the vehicle matching the description on East Washington Street.
While speaking with the individual, the officer alleges to have observed a firearm located in the vehicle and learned that the male did not have a permit for the weapon. During the investigation, officers also allege to have located narcotics in the vehicle.
Joshua Brendel, age 39, of Greensburg, In was taken into custody and charged on allegations of Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, Possession of a Handgun- Prior Felony Conviction, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule I Narcotic, and Possession of a Syringe.
