Suspect arrested after gunshot fired into wife’s vehicle

Columbus, IN—A Columbus man was arrested by Columbus police officers after he reportedly discharged a handgun into his wife’s unoccupied vehicle during an argument on Sunday evening. At approximately 9:20 p.m., CPD officers responded to Vinewood Drive in regards to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived at the residence, they observed Todd A. Turner, 33, of Columbus, in the front yard with his hands on top of his head. Turner was detained and officers determined that after having an argument with his wife, he reportedly fired a gunshot into the door of her unoccupied Cadillac SUV which was in their garage.

CPD detectives received a search warrant and recovered a 9mm handgun from the home. Turner was charged with allegations of Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm.
