Susan A. Walker, 65, of Versailles passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Cincinnati on May 25, 1959, the daughter of Paul and Edna Wininger Collins. Survivors include two daughters Angela (Les) May of Versailles and Amy (Rob) Franklin of Correct; one son Shane Walker of Versailles; Susan was Nana to 7 grandchildren, Megan, Kayla, Cameron, Nathan, Riley, Stella, and Jacoby, and 5 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Daniel, Atlas, Reed, and EvRhett; one brother John Collins of Holton; four sisters Eileen Oliver of Anchorage, Alaska, Margie (John) Blair of Villa Hills, Kentucky, Trudy (Charlie) Savage of Greendale, and Sally (John) Brogan of Vevay. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Marvin, Bobby, David, and Richard Collins, and her sisters Monetta, Doreen, and Loretta Collins, and Judy Adams. After earning her GED, Susan received her Associates Degree in computer science from Ivy Tech. Before being diagnosed with MS, Susan worked as a property manager for Grace Manor in Aurora, drove a bus for Lifetime Resources, and worked as a secretary for the Cavehill Church of God in Versailles. She was a resourceful person with a wide variety of talents, described by her family as “jack of all trades”. Susan was a member of the Bridge of Hope where she participated on the prayer team. Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the MS Foundation or the Cliff Hill Cemetery in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
