(Sunman, IN) – Sunman Elementary School kindergarten teacher Jasmyn “Jazzy” Blackburn recently finished as 1st runner-up in the Miss Indiana USA Pageant.
The 24-year-old Blackburn is from Lawrenceburg, and volunteers with Girls on the Run, a program for elementary girls aimed at inspiring empowerment and kindness through running, and Big Brothers Big Sisters, a mentorship organization for underprivileged youth.
She was named Miss Dearborn County in 2025.
Blackburn was featured earlier this year in a People article for her viral social media post that highlighted the colorful outfits she wears to bring joy and excitement to her classroom.
“We are SO proud of you and all that you have accomplished! Your dedication, confidence, kindness, and commitment to inspiring others make us proud to call you one of our own,” reads a statement from Sunman Elementary. “What an incredible achievement! Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!”
