Sunman, IN — The Sunman Rural Fire Department will host a Fire Safety Open House on Sunday, October 9 from 11 am until 2 pm at the fire station at 621 North Meridian Street.
The event will feature fire safety activities for the kids, safety booths, fire and EMS vehicles, a medical helicopter, and a free lunch.
October is Fire Prevention Month and the goal is to raise fire safety awareness and to help your family stay safe.
This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape,” aims to reinforce the critical importance of developing a home escape plan with all members of the household and practicing it regularly.
