Versailles, In. — Ripley County Prosecutor Ric Hertel has elected to hand the George’s Pharmacy robbery case to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana. The decision was made following a review of Rosa Zinser’s actions during the May 2 incident.
Zinser will be removed from the Ripley County Jail for her first appearance in federal court.
The case is proceeding through a collaboration between the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Attorney’s office.
Prosecutor Hertel and sheriff Jeff Cumberworth both welcome federal resources to deal with criminal activity.
