Sunman man flown to hospital from motorcycle crash

MILAN, IN — A Sunman man was flown to the hospital from a motorcycle accident that happened on State Road 350 in Milan around 8 pm Saturday.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says 71-year-old Jerry Ryan lost control of his motorcycle on eastbound 350 in front of Milan American Legion Post 235 and hit the back end of a vehicle that was turning left into the Legion parking lot.

A landing zone was set up at Milan High School, and Ryan was taken by medical helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.

Aurora EMS was heading back to its service area following a call and was the first unit to arrive on the scene.

Also responding were Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies, the Milan Fire Department, and Ripley County EMS.
