(Sunman, IN) – Three firefighters were recognized at the Sunman Rural Fire Department’s recent annual appreciation dinner.
John Miller was named Firefighter of the Year, while Jeremy Smith and Dave Stutz each received the 20-Year Service Award.
The dinner is held each year for retired firefighters, current members, and families gather for a meal and award ceremony.
“All of our members are dedicated public servants but some have achieved milestones in service to the community that deserve to be commemorated,” the department wrote in a statement.
