(St. Leon, IN) – The Sunman-Dearborn Community School Corporation is pleased to announce the successful completion of an ambitious multi-year and multi-school building project.

The project was completed on time and came in under budget, a feat that demonstrates exceptional planning and execution by the board and project partners.

“We are proud to announce the successful completion of phase one of the building project,” stated Dr. Andrew Jackson, Superintendent. “Our board had the vision to complete this project,
without increasing our tax rate, and to continue to provide the nicest facilities in the area. This project reflects the board’s dedication to the future of our students and community.”

Lancer Associates Architecture played a pivotal role in shaping the design of the facility upgrades along with the expertise and dedication of Maxwell Construction, serving as Construction Managers, ensuring that the project was completed with remarkable efficiency and adherence to the highest quality standards.

Their collaborative spirit and attention to detail were instrumental in delivering the project on schedule and under budget.

The project included the award-winning natatorium, which hosted an IHSAA Swim Sectional. The natatorium is also open to the public in the evening.

This project stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared vision. Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools is looking forward to the
next phase of the building project, with construction expected to begin in late 2024.

The public is encouraged to go to the Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools Facebook page or website to see more information about our schools and the project.
