Sunman awarded $50K state grant to develop comprehensive plan

SUNMAN, IN — The Town of Sunman has been awarded a $50,000 planning grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

The funds will be used to develop a multi-year comprehensive plan for the town.

Sunman officials say the plan is an important first step in lining up future resources to keep the town moving forward.

Town leaders are crediting Comprehensive Plan Committee members Mike Norman, Anita Fledderman, Brian Maynard, Cheryl Taylor, and Kara Schott plus Mary McCarty with the Southeastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission for their work during the grant application process.
