(Statewide) – The first Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Free Fishing Day of this year will take place on Sunday.
On Free Fishing Days, Indiana residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to cast a line on the state’s public waters.
All other rules, such as seasons, bag and size limits apply.
This year’s other Free Fishing Days are on June 6 and 7, and September 26.
DNR says it’s the perfect opportunity for beginners to test the waters, families to spend time together, or experienced anglers to introduce a friend to the sport.
