(Statehouse) – It is Organization Day at the Statehouse.
This is the ceremonial start of the 2024 Indiana General Assembly session and marks the annual first roll call of state lawmakers.
It also provides State Representatives and Senators the chance to meet before the legislative session officially reconvenes on January 8.
By law, the 2024 legislative session must be gaveled to a close on or before March 14.
