BATESVILLE, IN — A large crowd estimated to be in the thousands showed up at Bill Gillespie Soccer Park in Batesville Thursday night for the Star-Spangled Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO) concert.

The orchestra, led by Conductor Alfred Savia and featuring vocal soloist Doug LaBreque, played a mix of patriotic songs and orchestral showpieces.

The evening was capped off by a fireworks display at the conclusion of the orchestra’s performance.

This was the fourth year Batesville has welcomed the ISO to town.

The free event was hosted by the City of Batesville, Batesville Area Arts Council, Hillenbrand Inc., and the ISO.
