JENNINGS COUNTY, IN — A St. Paul woman is facing several felony counts for allegedly attempting to traffic drugs into the Jennings County Jail.

45-year-old Jenna McGinnis (pictured) is accused of attempting to traffic an estimated 8 grams of an undisclosed controlled substance into the jail by transferring it to an inmate at the Jennings County Courthouse.

Investigators say detectives and deputies intercepted McGinnis and the drugs before the transfer took place.

McGinnis is charged with Conspiracy to Deal a Level Three Controlled Substance (Level 4 Felony); Trafficking (Level 6 Felony); Possession of a Controlled Substance (Level 6 Felony), and Forgery  (Level 6 Felony).

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office says the arrest came after a month-long investigation, which is still going.

More arrests are expected in the case.
