St. Louis students earn national recognition

Batesville, In. — St. Louis Catholic School eighth graders, Lilly Wonnell and Abe Streator were recently inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. There are currently 13 eighth graders at the school who have earned the honor.

The National Junior Honor Society is a community service oriented group of 7th and 8th graders with a strong academic focus. Students must maintain a First Honors report card and outstanding citizenship grade. As a community service project the students visit residents at the Chateau Nursing Home once a month. St. Louis teachers April Baxter and Kohler Morrissey lead the group.
