St. Louis Catholic School participated in a 3-way meet with South Decatur and Jac-Cen-Del on 4-24-2024. St. Louis girls finished first with 59 points leading South Decatur by 21 points. Bella Watson took first in the discus with 57’2″. Mary Kara Wanstrath took first in the shot put with 23’4″, placed first in the mile with a time of 6:45, and placed second in the long jump at 12’10”. Ava Becker placed third in the long jump at 12’7″. Alejandra Schutte placed second in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal record of 19.2 seconds. Josie Frey placed second in the mile at 7:09 and took third with 50’5″, a personal record. Girls 4×100 meter placed second with Bella Watson, Lillian Schiebler, Ava Becker, and Maggie Tekulve with 60.31 seconds. Laney Wuestefeld finished first place in the 400-meter dash at 77.2 seconds. Maggie Tekulve placed first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.62 seconds and in the 800-meter run with a time of 3:07. Ava Becker finished first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.5 seconds. St. Louis girls then finished first in the 4×400 meters consisting of Maggie Teklulve, Laney Wuestefeld, Ava Becker, and Mary Kara Wanstrath with a time of 5:04.
Next, the St. Louis boys took third place with 18 points trailing Jac-Cen-Del by 6 points. Jeff Gerstbauer took first in the shot put with 38’00”. Henry Giesting placed first in the mile with a time of 6:33. Logan Harshburger placed third in the mile with 6:49 and in the 800 meters with a time of 3:18, a personal record.
