St. Louis 6th Grade Girls Basketball

The 6th Grade Lady Cardinals dropped their season opener to the Wildcats of St. Mary’s. The Lady Cardinals kept it close to start the game, but the lead quickly expanded because the Lady Cardinal got into early foul trouble. But they never gave up. The Lady Cardinals faced an experienced and tall team and held their own to kick off the season. They had an outstanding effort and never gave up. In the end, the girls were just outmanned.

The Lady Cardinals were led in scoring by Maci Smith with 15 points and several steals. Bella Watson had 6 points, and Claire Baker chipped in 4 points. Alice Austin, Ellie Weberding, Katie Hohenstein and Lydia Dwyer turned in outstanding defensive efforts.

Tonight, the Lady Cardinals take on St. Michaels.
