The St. Louis 5th grade girls basketball team faced the Laurel Lady Yellow Jackets Thursday night. The Lady Cardinals could not get their shots to fall in the first half. Meanwhile, Laurel converted on their opportunities to take an 8-4 lead at halftime.
The cold shooting would continue in the second half, and the Lady Cardinals eventually fell to Laurel by a final score of 12-8.
Scoring for the Cardinals was Katie Hohenstein with 4, and Norah Hermesch and Isla Padgett had 2 points each.
