St. Louis 5th/6th graders earn overall title at Batesville Deanery Academic Meet

BATESVILLE, IN — The St. Louis 5th and 6th graders earned the title of Overall Champions at the Batesville Deanery 5th and 6th Grade Academic Meet last Saturday, April 2.

The meet took place at the Hillenbrand Family Feldhaus and 
was hosted by Oldenburg Academy and Thomas Moore University.

The final scores were:

  • St. Louis – 88 points (new school record)
  • St. Michael – 75 points
  • St. Mary of Greensburg – 75 points
  • St. Lawrence – 64 points
  • St. Nicholas – 61 points
  • St. Mary of Aurora – 53 points

St. Louis 5th and 6th grade Academic Team members are Damien Brelage, Tripp Hertel, Alejandra Schutte, Kathryn Mack, Caleb Harmeyer, Sophia Leising, Bella Watson, Andrew King, Calvin Padgett, Elsa Schneider, Izzy Dierckman, Owen Beckner, Alice Austin, Grant Wanstrath, Solara Scheel, Jaxson Watson, Grant Hartwell, Charlie Gardner, and Madi Dierckman.

The team is coached by Marisol Schutte and Lynn Hertel.
