(Dearborn County, IN) – INDOT has temporarily closed State Road 46 over the Whitewater River in Dearborn County for structure repairs between Barber Road and U.S. 52, west of the I-74 interchange (Exit 169).
The bridge will remain closed until traffic signals can be installed at a later date. One lane will be opened once the signal is in place.
The agency says additional information and updates will be provided as they become available.
Motorists should use U.S. 52 to I-74 to State Road 1 as a detour while the closure is in place.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
