The Reds outslugged the Milwaukee Brewers 12-8 in the series wrap up in downtown Cincinnati heard yesterday on WRBI. It’s the Reds first home series win over the Brewers since May 9 through 11, 2022. Elly De La Cruz hit a two-run homer and drove in four on the afternoon. Brady Singer gets his sixth win of the year. He gave six earned runs on four hits with six walks and three strikeouts over five innings. Emilio Pagan came on in the 9th inning to earn his 22nd save. The Reds embark on a two-city, six-game road trip with the first of three tonight in Los Angeles against the Dodgers. Chase Burns (15-3, 2.79 ERA) looks for his 16th win. Before Sunday’s game, the Reds activated righthanded relief pitcher Graham Ashcraft from the 60-day Injured List and designated lefthanded reliever Sam Moll for assignment. Ashcraft had been on the IL since May 29 with a UCL sprain in his right elbow.
4th-ranked Notre Dame pulled away from Wisconsin 41-13 in college football at Lambeau Field in Green Bay last night. The Fighting Irish led 13-10 at halftime before outscoring the Badgers 28-3 in the second half. Notre Dame is now 13-0 in the Shamrock Series.
Scott McLaughlin won the Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey in California on Sunday. McLaughlin led from the pole position to win the final race of the IndyCar season.
Conor Daly is returning to the NTT IndyCar Series full-time in 2027. He will drive the No. 24 car for Dreyer and Reinbold Racing, marking the team’s first full-time IndyCar entry since 2012. Daly drove in the Indy 500 twice for the team, recording the fastest lap during this year’s race at over 225 miles per hour on lap 182.
