Batesville carded a 346 and finished 16th in Saturday’s Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association (IHSGCA) Hall of Fame Invitational at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru. Ian Hixson led the Bulldogs by shooting an 82. He was followed by Jon Moody at 84; Landon Raver fired an 87; Cooper Phebus carded a 93, and Caleb Laker finished at 95.
The Pittsburgh Pirates completed the sweep and beat the Reds 1-0 in the series finale at PNC Park heard yesterday on WRBI. The Pirates scored the game’s only run in the 8th inning. Reds starter Chase Burns pitched brilliantly but did not figure into the decision. He tossed 7 scoreless innings and gave up three hits and one walk while striking out seven. The Reds open a four-game series tonight against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Righthander Chase Petty has been recalled from Triple-A Louisville and is set to make his 2026 big league debut.
