The Pittsburgh Pirates hammered the Cincinnati Reds 9-1 in the series opener at PNC Park  heard last night on WRBI. The Pirates clubbed four home runs on the night, including two off the bat of Henry Davis. Brady Singer took the loss for Cincinnati. He went 3 1/3 innings and gave up four runs on seven hits with one strikeout and two walks. The start of the game was delayed 91 minutes by rain. The Reds look to even the series this afternoon. The 2025-26 Indiana Hoosiers football team will visit the White House on May 11 to celebrate their National Championship they won over Miami of Florida in January. President Donald Trump attended the championship game. The Hoosiers had a perfect 16-0 season, securing their first national title. Fernando Mendoza made history by becoming the first IU football player to win the Heisman Trophy. In addition, Hoosiers head coach Curt Cignetti will drive the pace car at the Indianapolis 500 on May 24.

The 152nd Kentucky Derby takes place this evening at Churchill Downs in Louisville. Renegade starts from the number one post position and is the favorite to win this year’s Run for the Roses. Post time is 6:57.
