The Reds hammered Cleveland 13-2 in Cincinnati’s final Cactus League game of the year, in a contest heard yesterday on WRBI.  The Reds will be back on the field for an exhibition game tomorrow against Single A affiliate Dayton in the Gem City. It will be a final tune up before Thursday’s Opening Day at Great American Ball Park against the Giants…

Meanwhile, closer Alexis Diaz will begin the season on the injured list with a hamstring injury. And infielder/outfielder Spencer Steer has been placed on the I-L with right shoulder soreness.

In the NBA, the Pacers homestand continues tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Indiana has won four straight and six of its last seven. WRBI coverage begins after Coaches Corner.

In college basketball, Texas is reportedly hiring Xavier coach Sean Miller. The move comes after Texas fired Rodney Terry on Sunday, and a few days after the Musketeers bounced the Longhorns from the NCAA Tournament First Four in Dayton.

And Alex Palou took the checkered flag at IndyCar’s Thermal Grand Prix in California yesterday. Palou has won both races on the circuit so far this season.
