The Reds lost to the Chicago White Sox 8-5 in split squad action in Goodyear, Arizona as heard yesterday on WRBI. Cincinnati beat the Seattle Mariners 5-3 in Peoria last night. The Reds full squad will be in Peoria this afternoon to face the San Diego Padres. Cincinnati returns to Goodyear tomorrow to play Cleveland. That game can be heard on 103.9 WRBI; airtime is 2:50.
In college basketball, Purdue takes on McNeese in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional in Providence, Rhode Island this afternoon. The winner advances to next weekend’s Sweet 16 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The Bengals signed free agent guard Lucas Patrick to a one-year contract on Friday. The 6-3, 313 pound Patrick is a nine-year veteran out of Duke University. He has played for Green Bay and Chicago, and spent last year with New Orleans. Patrick also has seen action in five postseason contests with three starts for Green Bay.
