The Reds on Thursday traded righthanded pitcher Kyle Nicolas to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for cash considerations. The team also placed catcher Jose Trevino on rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville.
The Indiana Fever topped the Atlanta Dream 83-71 to start Group Play in the WNBA Commissioners Cup in-season tournament last night in downtown Indianapolis. Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 25 points. Mitchell surpassed the 5,000 point career mark on a three-pointer late in the 3rd quarter. Aliyah Boston added 19 points, and Caitlin Clark tossed in 17. Indiana improves to 5-4 with the win, and is back in action tomorrow night on the road against the New York Liberty.
