North Decatur fell to Knightstown 12-0 in 5 innings in the Class 1A softball sectional championship game at Tri heard Saturday evening on the Sports Voice. The Chargers finish the season at 18-11. The Panthers move on to tomorrow night’s 1A regional at Milan.

South Ripley came from behind to beat Austin 8-6 in the Class 2A baseball sectional semifinal on Saturday on the Raiders’ home diamond. The Green and White will meet Brownstown Central for the sectional title tonight.

Batesville and Greensburg go at it for the 3A baseball sectional crown tonight at the Dawg Pound. Coverage begins at 5:45 on 103.9 FM and the WRBI App.

In other baseball sectional finals tonight, East Central goes up against host Columbus North in Class 4A, and North Decatur plays Knightstown in 1A at Morristown.

The Cincinnati Reds beat the Atlanta Braves 6-4 to avoid the series sweep at Great American Ball Park as heard yesterday on WRBI. Nick Lodolo went 6 2/3 innings and gave up 5 runs on 3 earned runs with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts to get the win. He’s now 2-1 on the year. Sam Moll notched his second career save and first with the Reds. Eugenio Suarez hit his fourth home run of the season and drove in two. Elly De La Cruz left the game with right hamstring tightness. He’s scheduled to undergo an MRI. The Reds open a three-game series tonight at GABP against the Kansas City Royals. Chase Burns (7-1, 1.98 ERA) gets the start for Cincinnati. We’ll join the game in progress following high school tournament baseball.

Pole sitter Alex Palou took the checkered flag at the Detroit Grand Prix yesterday. It’s Palou’s fourth win of the year.
