South Ripley came from behind to beat Austin 8-6 in the Class 2A baseball sectional semifinal on Saturday on the Raiders’ home diamond. The Green and White will meet Brownstown Central for the sectional title tonight.

The Cincinnati Reds beat the Atlanta Braves 6-4 to avoid the series sweep at Great American Ball Park as heard yesterday on WRBI. Nick Lodolo went 6 2/3 innings and gave up 5 runs on 3 earned runs with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts to get the win. He’s now 2-1 on the year. Sam Moll notched his second career save and first with the Reds. Eugenio Suarez hit his fourth home run of the season and drove in two. Elly De La Cruz left the game with right hamstring tightness. He’s scheduled to undergo an MRI. The Reds open a three-game series tonight at GABP against the Kansas City Royals. Chase Burns (7-1, 1.98 ERA) gets the start for Cincinnati.
