The Cincinnati Reds doubled up the Seattle Mariners 4-2 in a game heard late last night on WRBI. Elly De La Cruz, Eugenio Suarez and Nathaniel Lowe hit solo home runs to power the Reds offense. Chase Burns tossed five scoreless innings, while giving up three hits and two walks and striking out six to run his record to 12-2. Former Red Luis Castillo (3-9) took the loss. And Emilio Pagan notched his eighth save. The Reds look to win the series this afternoon. Brady Singer (4-9, 4.56 ERA) will make the start for Cincinnati. He’ll be opposed by fellow righthander Emerson Hancock (6-4, 3.17 ERA). Coverage begins at 3:10 on 103.9 FM.
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week. Clark averaged 25 points per game and 7.6 assists per contest last week It’s the second time this season, and fifth time in her career, that Clark has been named Player of the Week….
